Eat Well, Train Hard and Make Your Coach Cry

So I was in the gym the other day and a long time member came up to me and she seemed excited and sad or happy, I wasn’t exactly sure, but I could tell she REALLY wanted to tell me something.

“My husband asked me out to dinner the other night.” At first I didn’t know how to react, why she was telling me this or how do I have anything to do with it. “At first I thought there was something wrong, we haven’t gone out to dinner in eight years.” And then it dawned on me…

I was currently Coaching this person and she had made some amazing lifestyle changes, and we were only three weeks in to the program. I recall her saying things were tough and it was affecting her relationship with her husband.

You see when you don’t make the best lifestyle choices, everything is hard. Especially relationships, you aren’t truly happy, your patience is short, and you’re fuse even shorter. This is a recipe for a difficult relationship, no matter how much you love someone. When it gets to this point, it can be just easier to, whether intentionally or not, avoid spending quality time with each other.

So our conversation continued. “It was so nice.” She was clearly so happy about this. I was genuinely so happy for her, it almost brought tears to my eyes, so I had to keep the conversion going, you know, to look tough.

Now this person has had so many ‘wins’ in the last few weeks since starting coaching, PB’s in her training, calmer, more positive, real life changes. But the biggest thing was as simple as her husband asking her out to dinner. It has, and is, changing her life in ways she never thought possible.

Improving your nutrition, fitness and mindset can affect you and those around you in so many more ways than just lifting heavier and dropping a few kilo’s. It affects your mood, your ability to deal with stress, your motivation, and as you have seen here your relationships.

It is hard to take my word for it and most people believe they are eating well, exercising enough and doing the right things, but what are you basing that on? Past experience, what you have been taught, Facebook or Google? There is so much misinformation, fads, ideas, marketing gurus, influencers the list goes on. Cobi Head Coach can help you find what is right for you based on real life success.
